Meet the internal sales team!

Ever placed an order with us? Then you’ve likely chatted with one of our fantastic internal sales team members! They play a pivotal role in keeping things running here at Smart Payment Technologies so let’s find out a little bit more about them and what they do!

Our dream team – Lisa, Di, Mary, Lewis, and Steve – work hand-in-hand with our external sales team, processing your orders as soon as they come in, assisting with paperwork and billing queries and being the friendly voices you hear on the phone. 

Lisa has worked for with the company for many years, originally starting back in 1994 in Flint, and then joining Secure Retail (now Smart Payment Technologies) in 2016. She enjoys the ever-changing variety of the job as she interacts with many customers throughout the day.

Favourite holiday destination? Too many to mention, off visiting Cape Verde this year! ✈️

Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you. I went Parasailing on the morning of my Wedding…. Now that’s what we call starting the day with a thrill!

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Anything Mexican 🌮

Favourite TV show? Friends or Greys anatomy

 What’s your go-to cocktail? Long Island Ice tea

Lewis has recently started his role of sales support in the internal sales team, having previously worked with our managed service team since joining the company in 2023. He cites his colleagues as what he loves most about his job… well we are a pretty good bunch after all!

Favourite holiday destination? New York 🗽

Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you. I have a peanut allergy 🤷‍♂️, I’m not very fun!

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Chicken and pasta

Favourite TV show? Clarksons farm… Great Choice!

What’s your go-to cocktail? Frozen Strawberry Daquiri🍹

Mary is also fairly new to the team, taking on the role in June 2025 . Before this, she had been a part of our busy operations team for 2 years, programming devices and shipping orders. Mary loves her new role as she gets to interact with customers and build relationships.

Favourite holiday destination? Thailand 🇹🇭

Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you. I once cooked dinner for Rowan Atkinson👩‍🍳… Pretty cool right!?

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Chinese

What’s your go-to cocktail? Mai Tai

Di has been with Smart Payment Technologies for 13 years and previously worked along side Lisa at Flint for 9 years. Having worked here for many years, Di feels that it is the people that make it what it is, as everyone is supportive of each other and all work towards the same end goal.

Favourite holiday destination? Selva Gardena  – Ski resort in the Italian Dolomites⛷️

Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you. I’m a bit of a thrill seeker! My next activity is to abseil down Derby Cathedral with a few others in aid of Rainbows Childrens Hospice. You can donate here >>

What’s your go-to cocktail? I’m not really a cocktail girl.  Now give me a glass of champagne….. We certainly wouldn’t turn down a glass of champagne! 🥂

Steve is the newest member of the internal sales team. He has worked at Smart Payment Technologies for 4 years, previously working in our managed services team. Steve enjoys helping customers in his new role, building relationships and supporting with any queries they have.

Favourite holiday destination? UK: Wales / Abroad: Greece 🇬🇷

Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you. I once swam in the Great Barrier Reef; I then took a helicopter ride back—it was something they offered to everyone on the boat at the time. The views from up in the air were spectacular! 🪸

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Cheese and Broccoli Pasta

Favourite TV show: No firm favourite, but I enjoy watching anything sci-fi related.

What’s your go-to cocktail? I don’t tend to do Cocktails but if I had to choose it would probably be a non-alcoholic Mojito.
